The Hill Country Tri Club Training Schedule
Swim Clinic
When: Tuesday Night at 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Where: YMCA, Buda
Coach: Chuck Moerbe
Our swim clinic offers beginners and advanced swimmers a fantastic work-out. A coach provides stroke analysis and helpful tips to get you swimming in proper form for triathlon. Work outs last for 1 hour including warm-up and cool down. You do not have to be a member of the YMCA to attend our swim clinic. If you are not a member of the HCTC you are welcome to come participate in a free clinic as you contemplate joining.
Run Clinic
When: Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Barton Middle School track (mostly)
Coach: Autumn Mohon
Run clinic is tailored to individuals building for triathlons and running races. Whether you are working toward your first tri or 20th tri you will get a good solid run workout at run clinic. Depending on the time of year we will meet at the local middle school track or Plum Creek neighborhood trail for a coached workout on Wednesday evenings. Autumn tailors the workout for beginners to advanced runners. Members also frequently meet at Lady Bird Lake, Slaughter Creek Trail, Purgatory Creek Trail in San Marcos, and Winter’s Mill Running Trail in Wimberly for longer, group runs.
Bike Clinic
Bike clinic is very laid back and flexible. Emails will be sent out by members via the google group as they plan rides. Rides vary in distance from 10-100 miles and generally average 15-18 mph. All level of riders are welcome. We do follow road rules and no one gets left behind or left alone while out on the road. If you let us know your ability level, we will help find you a cycling partner.
